The National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development or NABARD had implemented a pilot project on Value Chain Management of Potato production in the district of Hooghly in West Bengal.
Festoon Media was assigned by NABARD to do a documentary film on the complete project covering each and every element and aspect of the Value Chain Management. The film had to be developed in three languages – English, Bangla and Hindi.

A detailed and thorough research on each and every element and role of stakeholders of the Value Chain was conducted. The complete flow of the Value Chain was studied and accordingly the script was developed. Multiple meetings with NABARD were conducted so that the script was flawless, accurate and precise. Extensive shooting for the film was then conducted over the next few months and covered the entire district of Hooghly.
From seed growing farmers to the district administration, from cold storage owners to wholesale traders, everyone had an important role to play. The documentary film was a tribute and recognition to the hard work of every stakeholder in this crucial value chain.
